Chef Edgar Núñez's Michelin-starred Pedregal icon - French technique, Mexican ingredients, vegetables as stars. Sud 777 sits in the leafy Jardines del Pedregal neighborhood in southern CDMX, housed in a sprawling two-story modernist space with a central courtyard and a rooftop-style dining room. Chef Edgar Núñez, who trained at Noma, El Bulli, and Paul Bocuse, has built a menu that applies French technique to Mexican ingredients with a strong vegetable focus - think beet tartare, spinach in sherry-almond sauce, and avocado with foie gras, alongside red snapper al pastor and turkey with mole amarillito. Awarded one Michelin star in 2024 and consistently on the Latin America's 50 Best list. A twelve-course tasting menu is the full experience, but à la carte is available. Expect a 25-40 minute drive from Roma/Condesa. Sud 777 holds a Michelin one-star rating in the 2026 Michelin Guide, awarded in 2024. It is one of the few starred restaurants located outside the Roma-Condesa-Polanco core, with chef Edgar Núñez applying French technique learned at Noma and El Bulli to a vegetable-forward Mexican menu.
